Purchasing Intern (Fore Singapore)

1. Vendor Sourcing & Negotiation: Actively search for, evaluate, and source new potential vendors to expand our supplier base. Assist in negotiation processes to secure competitive pricing, terms, and conditions. 2. Order Processing: Monitor incoming Purchase Requests (PR) for accuracy and convert them into Purchase Orders (PO) efficiently using the company system. 3. Data Analysis & Cost Saving: Conduct Weekly and Monthly data analysis to track commodity price trends and total spending value. Utilize data insights to identify opportunities for cost optimization and assist in meeting company cost-saving targets. 4. Logistics & Shipment Monitoring: Closely monitor inbound and outbound shipments, coordinating with both local vendors in Singapore and international export partners to ensure timely delivery. 5. Export Logistics Sourcing: Actively search for and evaluate freight forwarder vendors specifically for export requirements, comparing rates and service levels. 6. Inventory Support: Collaborate with warehouse personnel to monitor stock levels, ensure inventory accuracy, and assist in reconciling physical stock with system records. 7. Reporting: Prepare routine reports on purchasing activities, vendor performance, and shipment status.
