HSES Intern

Job Purpose The HSES Intern will support the Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security (HSES) team in implementing and monitoring HSES programs and initiatives. This internship provides hands-on exposure to HSES management systems, risk management processes, incident management, environmental programs, occupational health, performance reporting, and employee engagement activities while contributing to a safe and sustainable work environment. Key Responsibilities HSES Management System • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security (HSES) Management System. • Assist in maintaining HSES documentation, records, and communication materials. • Learn and promote the Four Pillars of HSES: Health, Safety, Environment, and Security. HSE Risk Management & Permit to Work • Assist in HSE risk assessment activities, including Hazard Identification (HAZID), Task Risk Assessment (TRA), and Behavioral Process Risk Review (BPRR). • Support the administration and monitoring of the Permit to Work (PTW) process. • Participate in field observations and Hazard Identification Tool (HIT) Card programs. • Assist in tracking and recording risk management actions. Incident Management & HSES Assurance • Support incident reporting, data collection, and investigation documentation. • Assist in maintaining incident records and follow-up action tracking. • Participate in internal audits, inspections, and assurance activities. • Support the preparation of audit reports and corrective action monitoring. Environmental Management & HSES Programs • Assist in implementing Environmental Management System (EMS) initiatives. • Support environmental monitoring, data collection, and compliance activities. • Participate in HSES campaigns and employee engagement programs such as iLead and BEEPS. • Assist with sustainability and environmental awareness activities. Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene & Employee Participation Programs • Support Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) initiatives and Industrial Hygiene programs. • Assist in organizing health and wellness campaigns. • Participate in employee engagement activities, including: o Communication Cards o Stop Work Obligation (SWO) o Leadership Engagement Programs • Help promote a positive HSES culture across the organization. HSES Performance Reporting & Training • Assist in collecting, monitoring, and analyzing HSES performance data. • Support the preparation of monthly HSES reports, dashboards, and presentations. • Assist in coordinating QHSES training sessions, inductions, and awareness programs. • Maintain training records and support training administration activities. Requirements Education • Diploma 4 / Bachelor Degree in : o Occupational Health and Safety (OHS/K3) o Environmental Engineering o Public Health o Environmental Science
