Research Assistant

1. Assist the Research Associate in managing research projects end-to-end (brainstorming the idea, work plan, data analysis, and written report) with specific issues in macroeconomics, financial, banking, non-bank financial industry (insurance and pension funds), and also digital and green economy. 2. Providing support to analyze data using a range of quantitative economic research methods to provide data-driven insights. These methods may include descriptive statistics, econometrics, and any kind of analytical and statistical tools. 3. Helping the team collect macroeconomic and financial data with Bloomberg Terminal, CEIC, and other external resources. 4. Helping the team to organize focus group discussion and conference which involves cross-sectoral collaboration with various stakeholders. 5. Assisting the team in the preparation of presentation materials, if any. 6. Assist with other ad-hoc tasks. Qualifications and position requirements: 1. Undergraduate or master students in Economics, Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or other related fields from a reputable university (fresh graduates are welcome); 2. Passionate for research, and analysis related to macroeconomics, financial, banking, non-bank financial industry (insurance and pension funds), digital and green economy; 3. Excellent analytical capabilities working and comfortable with large data sets and rigorous attention to detail; 4. Must have: Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preferably proficient in at least one statistical analysis software such as Eviews, STATA, R, etc; Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Willing to do non-research related tasks such as event organizing; 5. Able to work hybrid (WFO and WFH) internship at least and ready to join as soon as possible.
